Give the image some space by setting some margins on the top and left side and add a border to make the image stand out. Adjust the width if necessary and center the text. Use a contextual selector to limit the style to an image inside of a div called pic.
I have added a second background image which completes the "frame". The DIV has one background image, and the P has a different background image.
It should not repeat. Set the vertical background to 100% which will position the bottom of the image against the bottom of the P element. Re-size your window and see how the layout changes with the adjustments.
