YouTube Video: Check out this video on sequencing flats (magazines, large envelopes) put out by the USPS. Then take a look at the new web site created by letter carriers Ron and Cherry at NALC Bay Area http://nalcbayarea.com)..

Podcast: Here's Martha's First Podcast - a first-time recording with Audacity software, and LOTS of trial and effort... For an idea of how to make a podcast, and create a feed for it, listen to this from Robert Walch at Podcast 411.

QuickTime: video of Martha delivering mail in 2003; movie by cousin Steve; music by Melissa Ethridge.

SimpleViewer Gallery : On November 5, I participated in the mailing of ballots to members of my local union, Branch 214 of the National Association of Letter Carriers. This slide show gives a glimpse of the work involved in Union elections. To customize this slide show, I changed the background from black to blue, and changed the thumbnails display from 3 rows to 4 (to show all on one page). Enjoy!

Shockwave: The video on the right shows Dan using the postage meter machine to mail the ballots. This video starts immediately, and I couldn't figure out how to turn that option off. Any ideas? The coding says it uses a shockwave machine, but I see a symbol for QuickTime when the page loads. Also, I am not able to Play the video with th Properties Inspector because "Dreamweaver is unable to find the plugin that handles this type". What does this mean? What to do??

What is Shockwave? Read what Webopedia says:

A technology developed by Macromedia, Inc. that enables Web pages to include multimedia objects. To create a shockwave object, you use Macromedia's multimedia authoring tool called Director, and then compress the object with a program called Afterburner. You then insert a reference to the "shocked" file in your Web page. To see a Shockwave object, you need the Shockwave plug-in, a program that integrates seamlessly with your Web browser. The plug-in is freely available from Macromedia's Web site as either a Netscape Navigator plug-in or an ActiveX control....Shockwave supports audio, animation, video and even processes user actions such as mouse clicks. It runs on all Windows platforms as well as the Macintosh.

Flash Video :The video on the left is the.mov format which was converted by Flash Video Encoder into a .flv. Then I attached it to the page using Insert/Media/Flash Video. One time it worked properly, but from then on, it stops after just a few seconds. Don't know what to do...
