Exercise #10 - Final Reflections

What are the three most important things you have learned from this class?
What do you think is coming in the future of photography?

What I've Learned from Photoshop

I've learned that Photoshop is not as intimidating as I feared!
I've learned there's a lot of creative lee-way within this software, and I look forward to exploring this at my leisure.
And, I've learned that setting up Web Photo Galleries are a breeze.

As far as the future of photography, I am very optimistic. I think the greatest "explosion" is yet to come.
The ability of ordinary folks to create images and edit and present them is extraordinary. Already, the news world has been awakened to the power of the people to transform the social sphere. No longer will the newsmakers be only the "leaders"!

Also, I think photography is now truly a resource for families, friends, and communities to keep in contact cross-country and cross-worlds.
Sending and receiving emailed photos has certainly opened up the generational channels.
For instance, my mom's writing her memoirs (at 89), and I'll be able to re-touch the old photos, and upload it to the web for other family members to see.
We can even scan in old letters, and create digital diaries that record history from the personal point of view.

Politically and socially, I think this is a tremendous expansion of democracy, and I'm lovin' it!
