Video Project

My plan was to use the 10 graphics files and the audio soundtrack I made already, and weave them into a video. I find, however, I really need to do some re-working of a few of the images, and the soundtrack in its entirety (though the songs/sounds will be the same). My Mac One-to-One trainer suggested I create the video first, and then add the sound effects. My guess is that I may end up going back and forth between editing images, shooting/adding video, and adding sounds. Any suggestions?

How to answer this? What should you do first edit the sound or the video? Editing is my forte, and I can't say definitively one or the other. If you were editing a music video, you would lay down the music first, then edit the video to match. When telling a narrated story, you might do the same (sound first, then video). What if the video (picture) tells the story -- then it's the opposite. However, more often than not, you go back and forth -- video to sound and vice versa. The first 85% will go great, then the last 15% to lock picture and sound will take you as much time to complete as the first 85%. |
