Wow, midterms are passed. Hopefully, you finished your audio soundscape. It's now time for video. Take a look at this week's assignment. Read the PDF from fellow teacher, Misha Antonich to help you understand some basic concepts of digital video. Post what software you want to use for the video project.
Hi Folks,
So here we are in the last stretch of the semester and this class.
Hang in there - 119 with all its expansiveness will come to an end soon and whether it's been smooth sailing or whether you've been cursing computers and technology for the past couple of months, most of these concepts will come in handy very soon as you do more with media creation.
As we move forward to video, we'll look back on some of the underlying concepts of graphics and audio first, as they are already serving us to understand how video works in the computer realm.
This week will prepare for our final video assignment by going over the reading in the Reader. Please review your text book (Printed book, pages 124-135, Downloaded PDF, 140-153)
Also, I've uploaded a complementary reading to our textbook that synthesizes the image/audio/video similarities on the computer more directly. Please also read "Understanding Video 1" by next week.
Finally, answer the poll (to the forum) about what kind of video equipment and editing software you have access to.
