Week 2 - BCST 135

You will find everything you need in the PDF I created titled "Week 2 Lecture and Assignments. There are many hyperlinks in the 2 pages, so be sure to scroll over the text that is underlined so that you can link to the web pages I'm directing you to.

This week you will find 5 Podcasts that interest you and email me the 5 links via my CCSF email and also add them to your forum post this week. For example, one of your classmates, Mark Dillen, reminded my about This American Life which is a great web page and a great Podcast. (Notice the highlighted hyperlink which will take you directly to the site.  You can do that in your posts too.  So rather than a long URL, you can just type in the name of the Podcast, and highlight it by taking your mouse and scrolling over the words you wish to be used in the hyperlink, then click on the little chain link icon, called the insert edit/link up above in the icon area.  A window opens up for you to copy/paste the longer URL web address for the site you wish for us to check out.)
And here is a great link that your classmate Martha Raup showcased in her forum last week: "The Audacity To Podcast - A how-to podcast about podcasting!"

This week is where you think up a concept for your own Podcast that you'll be working on for the remainder of this course. Feel free to email me ideas if you are not sure exactly what to narrow your concept down to. Perhaps I can help.

Check out the categories in the Podcasting News link I provide in the lecture
AND
Be sure to check the second page of the lecture with all of the links to various audio software and tutorials!

Lastly, there is a quick quiz to take on Audio after you have read everything from week 1. I ask a few simple questions to see if everyone is following since audio is a very deep subject matter and in 6 weeks, we can barely scratch the surface! There is also a forum for you to post any questions about the reading from last week and this week.

Have fun!
