Oh my, this is IT! The last 7 days of the course!
What's on the table for this week?
1. Read this Wiki on Streaming Media.
2. Publish a second episode of your Podcast this week. (If you have it in you. If you did a great job on Episode 1, then you are on your way. Some may find getting a second episode podcasted may prove too much. Don't worry. I understand and I think you now do too. It's not easy!)
Some of you are a bit behind on getting the first one up. Don't worry. This is a quick 6-week course. Be sure to go back to week 5 to send us your first episode feed URL in the forum titled "Let's hear your first episode!" In that posting, let us know what it was like to create your first episode, how did your software work for you, was the hosting site easy to upload to, etc. I want to see at least 5 sentences about it along with the URL where we can hear your podcast. This is worth 5-points. Your Podcast episode is worth 20.
3. You had a chance to earn an additional 10 points last week and I've seen a few postings, so I'm going to extend that into this week and close the forum by this Thursday evening. So, you've still got a few days to get to that. This is what it's about:
Go to the EXTRA POINTS FORUM and repost your title and concept in the forum. Reply to 4 other student's post listing 10 words that they could use for their metadata (TAGS) in their Podcast. Do not use the same words as someone else's reply. This is going to entail you coming back to Insight a few times this week so that you can see what people have posted and reply to them. You must respond to 4 students and give them 10 words each to earn your 10 extra points by Thursday evening at 11:55.
4. There is a forum for this week titled: "Tell Us How You Think Podcasting Has Changed Traditional Broadcasting." It's worth 5 points to post your thoughts on that.
Ready, Set, GO!
