RETURN

Final Production - Week 4 - BCST

Final Production and on to Post Production

Part 2 of your Video for the Web project - FINALIZE your capture and wrap up production.

THEN, lay out your pieces in a video timeline in the software of your choice and start to edit down your video.

Remember that this will be a 2 - 3 min episode, so you likely have a LOT of footage that you'll need to cut out. Since we are looking at this like we do in the Audio for the Web class, your intention is to finalize the video edit with something that asks us to return as you are trying to build a webisode or a channel. A channel allows you to have stand-alone videos, for sure, but they are usually grouped together by a common theme.  So be sure that the last 10 - 15 seconds ask us to come back for another viewing or to subscribe!

This week, you should get to the mid-point of your edit sequence (this is called a "Rough Edit or Assembly Edit" and turn in whatever you have by Sunday.  You can also go back and capture any more items that you feel are missing to add them in. So, this is like a crossover week from production to post-production. The idea is that next week (week 5), you'll have more time to refine your edit and add titles at the top and credits at the end.

This week's assignment is worth 20-points.

Title should be:  136_RoughEdit_your name

Format should be an MP4 or other compressed video file to upload here.
