Springtime on Family Farm

Hello from the Raup farm in Kansas !!!

Here are some pics I took this week...Spring is in the air !!

We have started the fieldwork to get ready to plant grain sorghum. We will make ready about 224 acres, some on section 15 and the rest on section 11. We have had 6 inches of rain in the last 6 weeks and are very wet, but we hope to start spraying the weed preventatives next week, after we finish working the ground. I have purchased all the seed (whew!, seed prices have gone up 45% this year ?!), but at least the fertilizer prices have dropped about 35%, so that is a plus. Anyway, hope everyone is well and we will send more updates as the season progresses!
