On Thursday, July 3 we arrived in HOUSTON, where we spent 15 days visiting Dianne's large family, and Martha's cousin Betsy. Here are some photographic highlights and blog postings..
- Thursday, July 3, we stopped to see Joyce and Bill and family on our way to David's. blog post We saw Joyce and Bill's two daughters, Rebecca and Emily and their kids, but missed seeing Gavin.(blog post) We finally arrived at David's around 5pm, after a harrowing ride through Houston traffic (when is it NOT congested?). David and Steven took us to Pei Wei for dinner as an anniversary present, and then we went shopping at Kroger's. blog post
- Friday, July 4, we went with David to the Apple Store in Houston to repair his iPhone (JavaScript was turned off). For dinner, Steven made lasagna, and later he and Martha went for a walk in the neighborhood. David introduced us to "Orange is the New Black" so we saw several episodes. All in all, it was a safe and satisfactory 4th! blog post
- Saturday, July 5, David drove us to Joyce's, and we spent the afternoon eating, swimming, and visiting. blog post. Jim and Emily dropped by to bring David a new modem, and Bill came back from rounding up the cows in LaGrange before we left. blog post
- Sunday, July 6, 18 of the Joseph family met at Tia Maria's Restaurant at 4618 Dacoma Street for a wonderful get-together, planned on Facebook. .Liz and Doug, Angela and Kenny with Kayla and Kenzie, Mark and Sharon, Allison and Jeremy and his mother DeRonda, Joyce and Bill, Eddie and Jackie, David, and Dianne and Martha all enjoyed the food, the fun, the ambience, and the story-telling. blog post
