How to Submit Assignments
This is a generic document which describes how you will submit every assignment in this course.
Every homework/lab assignment will be uploaded to your web space on the CTIS web server. Click this link to learn how to obtain, access, and upload files to your provided web space.
So, how do I Submit an Assignment or Lab?
- Follow the instructions for creating a homework or lab assignment. Individual assignments will contain specific details about the filenames and any requirements for a specific assignment.
- Upload the files (and possibly folders) specified in the instructions to your web
space on the CTIS web server.
Click the link above if you need information on accessing or uploading your files to your web space. - In a web browser, validate and TEST your files on the server... if they do not
validate and work properly for you, then you can assume that I will see the same
and your grade will be reduced substantially!
If there are broken links, or the file(s) do not validate... fix them! - Update your home.html page on the server and create a valid link to the assignment you want me to look at.
- When you are satisfied that an assignment is ready for me to look at and grade, then...
- Log-in to the ETUDES classroom.
- Click on the "Assignments" menu item on the left side of the window.
- Click on the specific assignment your are submitting.
- When viewing the page of instructions for submitting this assignment, click on the "Web Page" radio button... the browser window will change as soon as you do this.
- In the URL box, paste in the URL to either your home page or the direct link to the assignment page you want me to view.
- Click the "Submit Above URL" button to actually submit this assignment.
Important!
Unlike some other classes you may have taken, I will not search out your assignments.
When I am notified in ETUDES that you want me to view an assignment, THEN I will go and view that assignment.
If you do not officially submit an assignment through ETUDES, that work will not be graded!
