WEEK 7

Welcome to Week 7 of the class. We have now finished the work on the graphics project. For those of you who made the deadline, congratulations. As I suspected, some students are having trouble with various aspects of the assignments. Just communicate with me your progress.

We have covered a lot, and I don't want people to feel left behind. Take a minute and think about what you covered these past few weeks and especially on the graphics assignment: Developing a story, finding/creating images, selecting the sequence, adding text and layers, using visual hierarchy, etc. That's a lot.

This week we move away from image manipulation and Photoshop towards the subject of broadband, the internet, and HTML. Take a gander at the week's content. There is a quiz, light reading, and an optional HTML assignment. Enjoy.

As you know: Weeks open one at a time on Monday mornings and close on the following Sunday evening at 11:55 p.m.

It's a new week! Breathe a sigh of relief and pat yourself on the back. Photoshop is behind us! This week's tools are delightfully low tech, but our topic is anything but. We'll be focusing on broadband technology, including the internet and html, which is the language of the world wide web. The html project is a great extra credit assignment and I hope that it'll give you a bit of a breather. Starting in October you'll be exploring audio!
