10/2 - Understanding Audio

Sound is what you hear when molecules in the air are disturbed and they vibrate. We hear the vibration of molecules and really amazing people have discovered ways to measure the sound vibrations known as frequencies or pitches as well as the amplitude or loudness of the sound. Audio is a word that describes what happens when you capture the sound and it becomes electrical. We can capture audio with a microphone into a mixing board or recorder input and manipulate it into a number of ways before output the sound in a number of changed forms.
