Day 2 Arrive London - Wednesday, July 30, 2014

Upon arrival in London, you will be transferred to your hotel. After checking in to your hotel the remainder of the day is free for independent exploration.

Day 3 London Sightseeing & Free Time - Thursday, July 31, 2014

Your half day sightseeing tour of London’s West End shows you all the main sights including Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. The morning tour ends at our London Reception Center at approximately 12:30* where you are free to explore on your own at your own pace.

Day 4 London - Stratford - Coventry - York - Friday, August 1, 2014

Journey through the pretty Cotswolds this morning to visit Shakespeare’s birthplace in Stratford and uncover the facts about his life and family. See Coventry’s two cathedrals next, then continue to York. Tonight your Travel Director hosts a uniquely Yorkshire Welcome Reception and dinner where the heritage and ancient art of the humble Yorkshire Pudding is revealed before your eyes!

Day 5 & 6 York - Edinburgh (Military Tattoo) - Saturday & Sunday, August 2-3, 2014

This morning, stroll the narrow lanes of the Tudor Shambles and view York Minster, England’s largest medieval cathedral. Heading north, stop briefly at part of Hadrian’s Wall, then pass Jedburgh Abbey to visit a real, working organic farm. Learn about the owners' environmentally friendly farming methods and passion for sustainable food before continuing to Edinburgh. In the morning, join a local expert for a visit to Edinburgh Castle, home of Scotland’s crown jewels. See Holyrood Palace at the end of the Royal Mile, then continue past the Scott Monument to the New Town. The afternoon is at leisure. Tonight, selected departures attend the Edinburgh Military Tattoo at the castle.

Day 7 Edinburgh - The Trossachs - Glasgow - Monday, August 4, 2014

Drive via Gretna to the English Lake District, with scenery so beautiful it inspired a host of writers. Learn about the life of William Wordsworth and visit his grave in the village of Grasmere.

Day 9 Lake District - Ludlow - Cardiff - Wednesday, August 6, 2014

Day 10 Cardiff - Bath - Cornwall - Thursday, August 7, 2014

Cross the Severn Bridge back into England and drive to the Georgian city of Bath - its curative waters have been famous since Roman times. Sightseeing includes a visit to the Roman Baths and you also see the 15th century Abbey Church. Continue on to Glastonbury, steeped in legend, before heading to your fabulous resort in the Cornish countryside.

Day 11 Cornwall (Plymouth Excursion) - Friday, August 8, 2014

In the morning, drive to the seaside village of Looe, then continue along the Cornish coast to Plymouth to see the Mayflower Steps, Barbican, Citadel and Plymouth Hoe. Return via the rugged hilly countryside of Dartmoor. Enjoy a Farewell Dinner with wine tonight.
