Martha's COIN 74 - Homework CR
For a description of this assignment, please see: assignment07
As I went through the online text, I did some of the exercises. HERE is a link to those exercises.
On 11/15/06 I reviewed the code for Michiko Sakamoto-ness at: http://krypton.fhda.edu/coin074a02w/sakamot3/public_html/assignment_7/zzz.html#as7.
Here's what I had to say: Hi Michiko,
Everything works well. One small problem - on the jump menu, the Select One is not set to come up initially - it's at the bottom of the list, and needs to be moved up. Other than that, everything works, and you've included all the elements. The submit and the cancel buttons are well-placed, and the reply form was well-executed. Only thing is - did you get my response? I'm ready for that ski trip now...
On 11/15/06 I reviewed the code for Carol Gleason at: http://www.carolag.com/COIN74data/HW07/Form.html.
This is what I wrote: Hi Carol,
I've returned to your site, tried all the "bells and whistles", and find that it passes muster in all regards. I hope when you connect this to your final project, you include a link for the words Standing Stones, Broches, and Cairns - that way the viewer can refresh their memory on what they've seen, and give you a better review in the process. Also, is the word "Stones" a title? It seems superfluous...
As I said earlier about your jump menu (that works beautifully), your slide shows are stunning. I just spent a good thirty minutes learning all there is to know about Pitcairn Island. Thank you for sharing this! It is SO well done, and I know it took a lot of time and effort. The result, in my opinion, is well worth it. I'm so glad you're taking web and photo classes. Sharing a slideshow like this one is what webs, and travel, and photography are all about, to me. Excellent.
Two style suggestions: add a break after About You, and even center it, to make it stand out more; and, have First Name and Telephone align, and Last Name and Email. Or is that too symetrical? Anyway, it works well, looks good - and pertains to excellent content.
On 11/17/06 I reviewed the code for Harlan Crowder at: http://krypton.fhda.edu/~crowderh/hw.html. I tested out my HW7 checklist, and sent him a copy. He passed with flying colors - and my customized form elements did too! I also wrote him a note on ETUDES:
Hi Harlan, I sent you an email (title: Form sent from Internet Explorer), so don't let it go to junk mail! Anyway, I tested my online checklist form, and hope it's useful to you. Your form has all the elements required, and looks nice to boot! I didn't quite understand the custom forms (I think you mean form elements). What's wrong with them? They look fine to me...
