Martha's COIN 74 - Homework 8
For a description of this assignment, please see: assignment08
As I went through the online text, I did some of the exercises. HERE is a link to those exercises.

HW 8 Requirements:

Part 1: Create a new XML document, using the nested data model. That means the form of your document will be <element>data</element> Try to make three records. You may use the address book theme, but try to modify it. Other models might be a recipe book, a 'friends list', or an inventory of your household furniture. If you use your imagination, you can come up with an interesting XML application. Check your work to make sure that it is 'well-formed'.

Part 2: Create a new XML document, using the empty data model. That means the form of your document will be <element attribute="data" /> Try to make three records, and check your work to make sure that it is 'well-formed'.

Part 3: Create a simple XHTML document. What do I mean by this? Well, go back and read the tutorial carefully, and in your XHTML document, try putting meta data in a couple places. There is meta data that is allowed by Dreamweaver, and other meta data that is allowed by the Dublin Core Initiative, as well as an extended XHTML framework. My Apologies! This seems to work ok in Firefox but NOT in IE6. DRATS. It USED to work when first posted...

Part 4: (Optional) Create an XML site map for your website using Google's BETA service, and an online tool for generating the sitemap Did Not Do - Yet!

Part 5 : (Optional) Create a simple RSS file using Dreamweaver 8, or editing it manually. Did Not Do - Yet...
